Sept 26, 2025: Post-Game Recap (+ Late Late Night Cap) ☕️🌙

September 29, 2025

Good evening, friends! I know, it's super late (depending on your time zone, it's well past midnight, so...good morning!) But this was a rough betting day so I wanted to touch base before I closed up my computer for the night. 😮‍💨☕️ For those of you that are new here (and there are quite a few of you!) as much as I love to celebrate our wins together, I feel it's important to check in and commiserate the losses together as well (lol).

I must say, today's Pick of the Day loss was brutal! The Milwaukee Brewers scored ONE RUN at home against the Cincinnati Reds. I'm shocked to be honest, but I know – "that's baseball, baby!" Just the way it goes sometimes...

As for College Football, HOLY – how insane was that Florida State / Virginia game?! What an upset. I'm choked about the loss, but at least it was wildly entertaining.

Our silver lining for the day? The Washington Nationals and the Chicago White Sox cashed the Over in spades (CHI White Sox v WAS Nationals Over 8.5 ✅)! I'll be honest – I never thought I'd be so happy to see the White Sox put runs on the board 😂 Speaking of, an honourable mention to Colson Montgomery for hitting a homer and cashing our bases prop today 😉

Alright everyone, I know today wasn't our best – but the weekend is here! Let's rally and take our sh*t back from the books ;) As always, I'll see you all bright and early!

September 26, 2025

Today's Picks

-MIL Brewers -1.5 (+125) | 0.5 Units

-CIN Reds v MIL Brewers Over 8.0 (-105) | 0.25 Units

-CHI White Sox v WAS Nationals Over 8.5 (-120) | 0.25 Units

-Florida State -6.5 (-115) | 0.25 Units (NCAAF)

Why These Picks?

CIN Reds v MIL Brewers: This is bold considering that the Brewers have more than solidified their spot in the post-season, but I’m rolling with it anyway, because the fact that they’re willing to put Priester in for this game tells me it means something. Quinn Priester’s (3.25 ERA) last 5 straight starts have seen Milwaukee come away with a victory by at least 2 runs, and Cincinnati has lost 4 of their last 5 encounters with the Brew crew. While the Reds have seen a nice string of wins as of late, they’ve taken a loss in 4 of their last 6 road games; all of those losses were by at least 2. I know that Cincinnati is still vying for a Wild Card spot, but if you think the Brewers bag a win here (and I do), take the RL for a nice return. I'll also toss a sprinkle on the Over to cash, as 3 of the last 4 meetings between these two have flown over 8, and comically, Priester & Littell's last showdown saw a whopping 11 runs.

CHI White Sox v WAS Nationals: The last 4 straight encounters between these squads have cashed the Over in spades, friends. And, if you’ve been tailing me for any amount of time, you know how I feel about the Washington bullpen. On the other side, with Chicago starter Yoendrys Gomez (4.92 ERA) carrying around an Away ERA of 5.64, I fully expect the home squad to bag some runs. My money’s on the Over to hit this evening.

Florida State v Virginia: While the Cavaliers have won 3 of their last 4 games, their defense (or lack thereof?) is a very good reason to think Florida State covers the spread here, friends. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but not only do I think FSU covers, I think they win this encounter by at least 2 TDs. Can you tell that Alabama upset game is still fresh in my mind? Take the Seminoles to cover the spread on the road.

Today's Picks

-MIN Twins v TEX Rangers Over 7.5 (-105) | 0.25 Units

-TEX Rangers -1.5 (+150) | 0.25 Units

-CLE Guardians -1.5 (+120) | 0.25 Units

-BOS Red Sox v TOR Blue Jays Over 8.0 (-105) | 0.5 Units

-BOS Red Sox Team Total Over 3.5 (-115) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

MIN Twins v TEX Rangers: I'm whole-heartedly on the Over here. With Bailey Ober (5.32 ERA) starting for the Twins, this game should see at least 8 runs. 4 of Ober's last 5 starts have cashed the Over in spades, and Texas starter Tyler Mahle's last outing against Minnesota saw the Rangers win 16-4 (Woods Richardson was the starter). I'll take the Over to hit, and the Rangers to cover the RL for a nice +150 return.

CLE Guardians v DET Tigers: The Tigers offense is just not it, guys. Detroit has lost their last 8 straight games, and the Guardians are on a generational run having won 12 of their last 13. At the time of writing, the Tigers haven't named a starter (bullpen game?), but putting money on Detroit is not something I'm comfortable with given their recent struggles. I'll happily risk it for the biscuit and take Cleveland to win by 2 for another fat payout.

BOS Red Sox v TOR Blue Jays: The Red Sox offense should have no problem scoring against Toronto, friends. Boston has had little to no issue with the Blue Jays’ starting lineup, I expect them to put at least 5 on the board today as the Blue Jays do a deep dive into their bullpen. Now, having said that, I’m looking to the Toronto offense to get out of their [seemingly endless] funk today against Brayan Bello (3.34 ERA). Bello has allowed 7 runs on just 10 hits over his last 2 starts. As the Blue Jays are now tied with the Yankees in a race for the division win, I can’t think of a better incentive for them to start scoring some runs and avoid getting swept. My money’s on the Over to cash today, as well as on the Red Sox to bag at least 4, friends.
