ATL Braves v WAS Nationals: I’m a big fan of Chris Sale (2.52 ERA). If you think the Braves win this matchup, the RL is a pretty safe bet. 3 of Sale’s last 5 starts have resulted in a Braves win, and all of those wins were by at least 3 runs. On the other side, MacKenzie Gore (4.14 ERA) is far from being Washington’s worst starter, but all 3 losses in his last 5 starts were by at least 4 runs. In addition, I just have 0% faith in the Nationals bullpen’s ability to keep an offense off the board. My money’s on Atlanta to cover the RL.

And comically, all of Eduardo Rodriguez’s (4.98 ERA) last 5 starts have seen the Diamondbacks put at least 5 runs in the bag (even in a loss!) While Rodriguez’s last outing against San Francisco was solid, he tends to be worse at home than he is on the road, and the Giants seem pretty eager to lock down that last Wild Card spot.
