Aug 4, 2026: Belle's Picks & Props ⚾️

August 7, 2026

Today's Picks

-LA Angels v BAL Orioles Over 9.0 (-115) | 0.5 Units

-DET Tigers ML (+105) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

LA Angels v BAL Orioles: This game should go well beyond 9 runs, friends. Angels starter Grayson Rodriguez (7.98 ERA) has allowed 13 runs and 5 homers over just his last 3 starts, and while Baltimore has yet to name their starting pitcher…I really don’t think it matters. I won’t be surprised if the Orioles cash this play out all by themselves. After a rough couple games against Philly, I’m sure the Baltimore offense will be eager to show out at home. I’m on the Over to cash.

DET Tigers v SEA Mariners: I’m not betting against Troy Melton (1.75 ERA) in his current form, and I’m sure as hell not betting against the Tigers offense in their current form. Melton’s last 5 starts have resulted in a win for Detroit, and the Tigers offense has bagged an astounding 55 runs over their last 5 games. I’ll happily take Detroit for plus money.

Today's Picks

-MIN Twins v KC Royals Under 9.0 (-110) | 0.25 Units

-DET Tigers ML (+105) | 0.25 Units

MIN Twins v KC Royals: Not one of Randy Dobnak’s (1.04 ERA) last 5 starts has seen 9 runs, and to be frank, I think he’ll hold his own at home here. I admit, Minnesota’s Joe Ryan (3.52 ERA) has had a rough couple of outings, but Kansas City’s offense has been lukewarm at best over the past week. My money’s on the Under to hit this evening.

DET Tigers v SEA Mariners: I’m not betting against Troy Melton (1.75 ERA) in his current form, and I’m sure as hell not betting against the Tigers offense in their current form. ☕ Belle's First Cup

August 7, 2026

Coffee, conversation & today’s best bet.

First Sips

Friends, I’m in mourning. Daulton Varsho, formerly of the Toronto Blue Jays, has been traded to the Houston Astros. If you know me at all…particularly via my sound offs in our Discord community, you know that one: I’m Canadian. And two, that I love Daulton Varsho. I’m in pain, betting fam. To make matters worse, we got Spencer Arrighetti in exchange?! Arrighetti started this season off strong but the man has been abysmal over the last bit. If you follow the Blue Jays at all, you know that the last thing we need is another pitcher who allows 21 runs over the course of 5 starts. Now, to counteract this terrible news: I’m pleased to report that the Jays have decided to get rid of Jeff Hoffman! Again, if you’re a member of our Discord community, you know how many 9th innings this man has cost my sanity over the last couple of years 😅 I have to laugh, I got a Daulton Varsho Blue Jays jersey just a few weeks ago…my joy was short-lived. Anywho, I’ll quit bitching – on to today’s play…

August 4, 2026

Today's Picks

-WAS Nationals Team Total Over 4.5 (+115) | 0.5 Units

-STL Cardinals v NY Yankees Under 8.0 (-120) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

WAS Nationals v PHI Phillies: Aaron Nola (5.61 ERA) is arguably the weakest link in the roster of Phillies starters, friends – I don’t doubt that Washington will bag more than a few runs off of him (truth be told, I think this is a great spot for an upset…) Andrew Alvarez (4.06 ERA) is the better arm in this matchup, and while I do think this game could find itself over 9 runs, I like the potential return on betting against Nola far better. I’m on the visitors to put at least 5 on the board.

STL Cardinals v NY Yankees: Michael McGreevy (3.57 ERA) should be wildly outgunned here – the man has had a number of rough starts lately. That said, the Yankees offense has been half asleep over the last couple weeks, and I can’t say I’m confident that they turn up enough to cash their own team total’s Over line. I say the Under cashes.

TB Rays v COL Rockies: I’m whole-heartedly on the Over here. Michael Lorenzen (6.54 ERA) has been atrocious at home, and Rays starter Ian Seymour (4.37 ERA) is very ‘hittable’ on the road. Both offenses should have enough fire power today to get this total to 12. Put your money on a high scoring affair.
