CHI Cubs v LA Dodgers: The Cubs came back and stormed to victory last night with a worse pitcher than Colin Rea (3.00 ERA) on the mound; pricing them at +120 is a slap in the face in my opinion. The Dodgers are being spectacularly over-valued here, especially with Roki Sasaki (6.11 ERA) getting the start. While neither side has announced their lineup at the time of writing, I love the Cubs offense and Rea (who is 3-0, by the way…) to deliver. Take the Cubs to pull off the upset for a nice return.

The last game tonight ended real late friends! This playoff hockey business has me talking to you all far later than I'm sure you'd like – but hell, here I am in your inbox anyway after midnight (I regret nothing!) 😅 There are quite a few new faces around here, so I wanted to make sure I reached out this evening.

We've had a great April so far – Pick of the Day is a ridiculous 16-8; no matter which tier you're on this month, you're making money!

For the newcomers: I try and send out an email touching base or a post-game recap most nights (even if it is late...) whether we win or lose. As much as I love shouting about our wins from the rooftops, it's also nice to commiserate with the community 😵‍💫👊🏽

Now to today: the slate yielded some odd results. Pick of the Day cashed (LFG!) but picks went 2/4, props went a tragic 0/4, and the Texas Rangers tanked our parlay 🙄 I feel like this last 48 hours has been a wild ride for props, but I wouldn't dwell – we'll bounce back on those.

I have to laugh...the NY Mets are so banned. To be honest, I was hoping that at the very least, they'd show up in the bottom of the 9th and tie the game to cash the Over. But alas, they failed spectacularly.

Speaking of failing spectacularly, the Edmonton Oilers! WTF! You know they didn't make a single Shot On Goal in the entire last 6 minutes of the game? I loved Lukas Dostal to put those saves in the bag (Prop of the Day), but I clearly chose the wrong goaltender – the Ducks offense just wanted the win more.

To be fair, Lorenzen only really pitched terribly in 1 of those 5 (allowing the Phillies to bag 9 runs off of him), so I get why the book is (maybe?) thinks 7.5 is solid. That said, he also allowed at least 7 hits in 3 of his last 4 outings. On the other side, Freddy Peralta has been decent but hittable. I think the Mets have a solid opportunity to run up a score here – the Rockies have lost their last 5 straight meetings with NY by at least 2 runs, and 4 of those 5 have gone well beyond 7.5; this line is just too low. I say the Over cashes today and the Mets cover the RL.
