Why These Picks?
DAL Cowboys v WAS Commanders: This will undoubtedly be the highest scoring game of the day. Both squads suffer defensively, and their last meeting back in October saw a whopping 66 points. Dallas has allowed at least 34 points in their last 3 straight games, and Washington has allowed at least 21 in their last 4. The only thing either team is playing for at this point is pride, and on Christmas Day, I think that will be more than enough incentive for both offenses to play their asses off. My money’s on the Over to cash.
DEN Broncos v KC Chiefs: This game should be a blowout. Broncos defense plus a backup QB for the Chiefs? I'll be wildly disappointed if Denver doesn't come out of this encounter with a win by at least 2 TDs. Give me the visitors to cover here.
HOU Rockets v LA Lakers: This pick comes down to one thing, friends – and it’s that I don’t trust the Lakers defense. LA’s last 5 losses have all been by double digits, so if you think Houston grabs a win here, I’d take the incredibly reasonable spread of -2.5. I imagine it’s only so reasonable because the Rockets have lost 4 of their last 5 outings, but they’re still far and away the better squad. I'm on the visitors to cover.
