All-Star Game Day is upon us, friends! I know that plenty of you are looking for picks and predictions for the event, so I decided to put a little round-up of my favourites together. For those betting today, here's what I've got on my list...
-American League Over 3.5 (-125) | 0.5 Units
Starter Cristopher Sanchez will start for the National League, and to be frank, the man has had a rough few weeks on the mound. Sanchez has allowed 22 hits over his last two outings; I won’t be surprised if the first inning sees a run or two. I’m rolling with the AL to put at least 4 in the bag for this game.
-Dylan Cease 2+ Strikeouts (+100) | 0.25 Units
Both of today’s pitchers will face tough batting lineups, but I like Cease to put 2 Ks in the bag during his time on the mound. I’ll happily toss a sprinkle on this for plus money.
-Ernie Clement 1+ Hits (+100) | 0.25 Units
Clement has been on fire; full stop. I also love the fact that he won’t be exhausted like some of the other hitters might be after partaking in yesterday’s HR Derby. I’ll toss a sprinkle on him to snag a hit.
-Freddie Freeman 1+ Hits (+105) | 0.25 Units
I actually can’t imagine this game finishing without Freeman putting a hit in the bag… If anyone's going to get a HR past today's exceptional lineup of pitchers, I can see it being Freeman.
-Cody Bellinger 1+ Hits (+125) | 0.25 Units
Bellinger has had a hit in each of his last 4 straight outings; I think there’s a good chance he makes contact today. And, at +125? I’ll bite.
