Good morning, friends – Happy Sunday! I hope you’re all caffeinated. I’ll keep today’s “first sips” brief, as games start on the earlier side. I’m thrilled to report that my 5-day headache is finally on the mend (thank god)! I’ll have plenty of awesome news coming down the pipes over the next 48 hours (app launch, podcast, etc…) 🙌🏼 Until then, here’s today’s play…

Baltimore Shane Baz’s (4.02 ERA) last 5 straight starts for the Orioles have resulted in a loss, friends. In addition, despite having a couple rough outings, Tampa starter Nick Martinez (3.05 ERA) is a solid 5-1 on the road. I know the Rays offense has been sitting on simmer for the last week, but they should be able to avoid getting swept by Baltimore with their Ace on the mound. I’m on Tampa to bag the win.
