Coffee, conversation & today’s best bet.
First Sips
Good morning, friends! And may I be the first to say, “ew!” Yesterday’s betting day was kind of a gross one – though I admit, I was thrilled that Pick of the Day at least gave us the “Push”. Walk it off, everyone! Today, we bounce back…even if there is only 1 MLB game and 1 NFL game on the schedule 😅 Of course, there’s plenty of hockey to go around! I plan on leaving the majority of the NHL schedule alone today though while all of the teams playing their first game of the season get the “crazy” out of their systems (lol). Before we get to today’s Pick of the Day: A HUGE thank you to everyone who’s signed up to be a Founding Member of our upcoming app 🥹💚 I can’t stress enough how cool it is to have your guys’ support. -CLE Browns +2.5 (+100) | 0.5 Units
I read a comical stat this morning, friends. Ready? The Pittsburgh Steelers are just 2-10 on Thursday nights when playing on the road over the last 20 years. I’ll never forget the epic 2024 game in Cleveland that saw the Browns beat their Thursday night visitors in the snow (the Over cashed in that game, by the way…) But I digress. The Browns have actually won their last 4 straight meetings in Cleveland with the Steelers. For all their faults, they’ve also managed to bag upset wins over both the Carolina Panthers & Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past 2 weeks. The spread on this rivalry is unsurprising; if I had to guess the final score, I’d go 21-20 (for someone…) And, to the best of my knowledge, it’s a sunny 74°F in Cleveland today. I’ll roll with the home squad to cover.
