At the time of writing, the Athletics have Jack Perkins (6.42 ERA) listed as their starter in one spot – AKA, they’re rolling with their bullpen and will only leave Perkins in as long as he’s able – and they have J.T. Ginn (3.71 ERA) listed in another spot (lol). All of that said, I have no clue why this line is set at 7.0. To be fair, Perkins has only allowed 2 runs in his last 10 innings pitched, but not a single one of his last 5 games has stayed under a total of 7 runs. As for the possibility of Ginn pitching, the man has allowed 11 runs over his last 3 starts. Seattle’s offense has been cooking over their last 3 outings, and to be frank, unless the Athletics are putting a Cy Young winner out on the mound today and leaving him in for the full 9, I think this total sees at least 8. Take the Over to cash.
