Why These Picks?
CHI White Sox v MIN Twins: This is a funny matchup in my opinion. I think the White Sox will claim the first half of this game, but the Twins might run over the Chicago bullpen in the later innings. Erick Fedde (4.18 ERA) has allowed a mere 4 runs over his last 5 starts, and yet 4 of his last 5 outings have resulted in a loss for the White Sox. Meanwhile, Bailey Ober is an impressive 5-1 at home, but has allowed 13 runs over his last 5 games. To boot, neither pitcher has been crushing strikeouts lately. It’s bold, but I’m gonna roll with the White Sox to win the first 5 innings of this encounter for plus money, friends.
MIA Marlins v WAS Nationals: This pick is simple – Cade Cavalli (3.21 ERA) has been too solid at home for me to want to bet against him, and the Washington offense is one of the best in the league. With 4 of his last 5 outings resulting in a win for the Nationals, I’m not in a rush to back the visitors this afternoon. Take the home squad to win.
COL Rockies v ATL Braves: I’m just gonna say it…Ryan Feltner (6.08 ERA) has been god-awful. Feltner has allowed 12 runs in just his last 2 outings; the Braves offense should have no issue running up a total here. I’m on Atlanta to put at least 6 in the bag.
BAL Orioles v Athletics: I don’t love Baltimore starter Shane Baz (4.04 ERA) on the road, friends – and the Athletics bullpen has been rough. Baz is a mere 1-8 away from home, and while Jack Perkins is a Relief Pitcher, the man has pitched anywhere from 3-5 innings over his last 5 games (the Over cashed in 4 of those 5). This game should have no issue seeing at last 10 runs. Take the Over to hit.
