Why These Picks?
MIA Marlins v COL Rockies: Max Meyer (2.60 ERA) vs the Rockies? On paper, it doesn’t get much better than this. Meyer is practically perfect at a ridiculous 9-0 (4-0 on the road…), and the man hasn’t allowed more than 2 runs in any of his last 5 starts. To boot, every one of his last 5 outings has resulted in a Miami victory by at least 2. Sorry Colorado, but I think the writing is on the wall for you here… I’m on the Marlins to cover the RL, and I’ll take the Rockies to put less than 4.5 in the bag.
SF Giants v ARI Diamondbacks: While I don’t love how either offense has looked recently, the Over has cashed in both meeting of this series so far. To boot, both of today’s starters leave plenty to be desired; Zac Gallen has allowed a staggering 14 runs over his last two outings. My money’s on the Over to cash, but I’ll also take the Giants to pull off the upset.
