-MIL Brewers v STL Cardinals Under 8.5 (-115) | 0.25 Units
Why These Picks?
PHI Phillies v CIN Reds: An unconventional “Pick of the Day”, I’ll admit – but I like it. Jesus Luzardo (3.75 ERA) has been a beacon of consistency for Philly away from home; the man is an impressive 5-0 on the road. Luzardo is undoubtedly the better arm in today’s matchup having allowed a mere 3 runs across his last 3 starts. Cincinnati will start Brady Singer (5.03 ERA), and while he’s gotten better as the season has progressed, only 1 of his last 5 outings has resulted in a win for the Reds. I like Philly to bounce back in this spot, but not for the -165 sports book is pricing the ML at. Take Luzardo to log the win.
LA Angels v TEX Rangers: Any low total projection is a gift when it comes to the Angels bullpen, in my opinion. Only 1 of Reid Detmers’ last 5 starts has stayed under 7 runs; worst case scenario this pick winds up being a Push in my mind. 8 of LA’s last 10 games have seen at least 7 runs, I say today’s follows suit. I’m on the Over to cash.
MIL Brewers v STL Cardinals: I don’t typically associate low-scoring affairs with Milwaukee, but 5 of their last 6 games have managed to stay under 8 runs. To boot, both of today’s pitchers have been solid as of late. I’ll toss a sprinkle on this game total to stay low, friends.
