Why These Picks?
NY Yankees v TOR Blue Jays: It’s been a while since I’ve bet on the Blue Jays, friends – but Trey Yesavage (3.16 ERA) despite having a rough couple outings lately, has been flawless (quite literally…) against the Yankees. Meanwhile, NY starter Ryan Weathers has allowed a staggering 10 runs across his last 2 starts. I’ll toss my money on Toronto to bag the win at home this evening.
ARI Diamondbacks v CIN Reds: The Diamondbacks can’t seem to score to save their lives, and I imagine Eduardo Rodriguez (2.52 ERA) will do enough to keep Cincinnati in check. Full disclosure, the Over has cashed in every one of Nick Lodolo’s last 5 starts, but I just don’t think Arizona has it in them to put 8+ runs on the board after not scoring for 18 innings. I’ve got a sprinkle on the Under today.
DET Tigers v CLE Guardians: Detroit starter Jack Flaherty (5.31 ERA) is no where near reliable enough for me to think this game total stays low. On the other side, while Tanner Bibee (4.09 ERA) is coming off a good outing, he’s allowed 10 runs across his last 3 starts. To boot, the Tigers have cashed the Over in 8 of their last 10 games. My money’s on a high-scoring affair here, friends.
