Why These Picks?
CHI White Sox v NY Yankees: The first two games in this series had no issue cashing the Over, friends; today should be no exception. I don’t trust Sean Burke (4.15 ERA) to keep the Yankees batting lineup in check (they’ve bagged at least 8 runs in each of their last 3 outings…), and I don’t doubt that Chicago will get more than a few past Ryan Weathers (4.36 ERA). My money’s on a high-scoring affair this evening.
NY Mets v PHI Phillies: I admit, I don’t love either of today’s starters – but I like the Mets’ offense far less than I like Philly’s lately. The Phillies have bagged 19 runs over their last 3 games, and despite Aaron Nola being rough at home, Philly has managed to turn 4 of his last 5 starts into a win. To boot, the last 3 straight meetings between these two squads seen at least 10 runs. My money’s on the Over to cash, and on the home team to pull off a victory.
