CHI Cubs v ATL Braves: Braves starter Grant Holmes (4.34 ERA) is incredibly ‘hittable’ so-to-speak; the man has allowed 14 hits over just his last 2 outings, and I can’t imagine that this won’t bode well for the Cubs batting lineup. On the other side, Colin Rea (4.03 ERA) has also allowed 14 hits over his last 2 outings, and the Atlanta offense is certainly no slouch. My money’s on the Over to cash with relative ease here, and on the Cubs to pull off the upset, friends.
COL Rockies v PIT Pirates: Rockies starter Michael Lorenzen (6.92 ERA) leaves plenty to be desired, friends – and I’ll be stunned if Colorado manages to get more than a few past Paul Skenes. Pittsburgh should have no issue running up a score here; I’ve got a sprinkle on them to put at least 5 in the bag this evening.
SEA Mariners v HOU Astros: This game has the potential to go to the moon. The Mariners are far better against right-handed pitchers than they are against lefties, and Tatsuya Imai is currently sporting a 13.50 ERA at Home. Despite only pitching a full 5 innings in one of his last 3 starts, the Over has cashed in each. Take the Over to hit here & Seattle to cover on the road.
