ARI Diamondbacks v CHI Cubs: Diamondbacks starter Ryne Nelson (7.71 ERA) is giving up way too many runs for me to think this game doesn’t see at least 8. Shota Imanaga (3.14 ERA) is undoubtedly the better arm in this matchup; I won’t be surprised if Chicago cashes this Over by themselves (even with the wind blowing in at Wrigley today). Nelson is better on the road, but he’s allowed a staggering 14 runs over just his last two starts and Arizona has seen totals of at least 8 in their last 6 straight games. 8 runs is a very achievable milestone for these two offenses, friends – take the Over to cash.
CLE Guardians v the Athletics: 10 runs is a tall order, I know – but Slade Cecconi (6.23 ERA) has been rough, friends. The Guardians have lost his last 5 straight starts, and the As have put at least 5 runs on the board in each of their last 3 games. Despite Jacob Lopez’s 5.84 ERA, he’s had a much better last few outings than Cecconi. I like the As to get to the Guardians early, and Cleveland’s offense to put enough on the board to push this total to 11. This encounter should see plenty of action. I’m on the Over to hit today.
