Today's Picks

-SEA Mariners v CHI White Sox Over 9.5 (-105) | 0.5 Units

-CHI Cubs -1.5 (+120) | 0.25 Units

-OKC Thunder -8.5 (-110) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

SEA Mariners v CHI White Sox: Mariners starter Luis Castillo (6.29 ERA) has been rough, friends. Having allowed 11 runs over his last 2 starts (yes, 11 runs – not hits!) I won’t be surprised by a high-scoring affair here. On the other side, White Sox starter Anthony Kay (5.70 ERA) has allowed 14 hits over his last 2 starts; I imagine Seattle’s offense will bag more than a few off of him. Call me crazy, but I think both teams put at least 5 runs on the board here. My money’s on the Over to cash for a nice price.

CHI Cubs v TEX Rangers: Rangers starter Jack Leiter’s last 3 starts have seen Texas lose by at least 2 runs, and the Cubs offense has been firing on all cylinders lately. Meanwhile, Chicago starter Edward Cabrera’s last 4 outings have all resulted in victories for the Cubs. Having won their last 10 straight games, I’m not in a rush to bet against Chicago. I’m on the visitors to cover the RL.

OKC Thunder v LA Lakers: I know teams tend to fare far better against Oklahoma City when they are not, in fact, playing in Oklahoma City – but the Thunder have beaten the Lakers both at home and away by at least 9 points in their last 5 straight meetings. While I do think Los Angeles will manage to not lose by 25 here (lol), I still don’t think they keep it within 10. I’m on the Thunder to cover tonight.
