Why These Picks?

PHI Flyers v WAS Capitals: The Washington offense looks formidable this season, friends. In addition, their visitors this evening will be playing on a back-to-back after an intense showdown with the Columbus Blue Jackets last night. The Capitals are undoubtedly the better team, but they’ve also had 3 days rest; I don’t doubt that they’ll bag a healthy win in this spot. Take the home squad to cover the PL.

MIL Brewers v TB Rays: Both teams are starting their resident Aces in tonight's matchup, and everything is on the line. Whether the Rays live to fight another day or the Brewers lock down a World Series win, ultimately, I think this game ends 3-1 for someone. I'm on the under, friends.

DEN Nuggets v NO Pelicans: This is a big total, but I think both offenses are more than capable of clearing it. Comically, these two squads played each other just a few days ago in Denver and saw a staggering final 276 points. Yes, the game saw OT, but even without it clearing 241 was a walk in the park. My money’s on another high-scoring encounter this evening.

OKC Thunder v DAL Mavericks: A spread of -5.5 is an incredibly generous line in my opinion given that both of Dallas’ losses this season have been by double digits, and all of Oklahoma City’s victories have been by at least 7 points. Tonight’s visitors have yet to lose a game, and despite their growing injury list,  I just don’t think the Mavericks have the chops to deliver them their first loss (especially if Kyrie sits this one out). Take the Thunder to cover.
