Why These Picks?
SF Giants v CLE Guardians: Giants starter Carson Whisenhunt has been rough on the road; to boot, the man has allowed 11 runs over just his last 3 games. I’m in no rush to back San Francisco here, and the Guardians should have no issue running up a total early on. I’ll toss a sprinkle on Cleveland to both cover the RL and bag at least 5 runs today.
LA Dodgers v COL Rockies: I think this game lands well-beyond 12 runs. The Rockies should be able to get more than a few past LA starter Eric Lauer (4.67 ERA) who’s currently sporting a 5.06 ERA away from home. As for the visitors, it should come as no surprise that I think the Dodgers can run up a total on Ryan Feltner (5.59 ERA) at Coors Field – the man has allowed 22 runs over his last 5 games. Take the Over to cash today, friends.
SEA Mariners v MIL Brewers: It’s not that I don’t like Seattle starter Bryce Miller (3.39 ERA)…I do. That said, I like Kyle Harrison (2.99 ERA) far too much at home to think that the Brewers offense won’t be able to win this game by at least 2 runs. The Mariners have not been reliable since coming back from the All-Star Break, and Milwaukee just managed to put 10 runs up on the board in their last 2 games against the Dodgers. I won’t doubt the home team in this spot – I’m on the Brewers to cover the RL.
