Why These Picks?
SF Giants v MIA Marlins: Max Meyer (2.75 ERA) has been flawless at home, friends. The man is 4-0 on his own field and is a ridiculous 7-0 so far this season...I just don’t think the Giants will get much past him. In addition, all 4 of Meyer’s last logged wins were by at least 2 runs, and 4 of Trevor McDonald’s (4.64 ERA) last 5 starts have resulted in a loss for San Francisco. My money’s on the Marlins to cover the RL this afternoon, and I've got a sprinkle on the Under to hit.
PIT Pirates v COL Rockies: As much as I love a high-scoring game at Coors Field, I think this one stays Under 10. Tomoyuki Sugano (4.79 ERA) is one of Colorado’s better starters, and Paul Skenes (2.85) needs no introduction. I’ve got a sprinkle on a lower-scoring affair tonight.
BAL Orioles v LA Dodgers: Orioles starter Trevor Rogers (5.86 ERA) is going to be outgunned here in my opinion. The LA batting lineup is daunting, and Rogers has had a tough time with far lesser lineups. In addition, Yoshinobu Yamamoto (2.84 ERA)’s last 4 straight starts have resulted in a Dodgers victory by at least 4 runs. I’ll take the home squad to cover the RL.
