Why These Picks?

CHA Hornets v BKN Nets: I think it’s going to take some time for the Hornets to adjust to being without LaMelo Ball; the man was their primary firepower for the better part of the last 6 seasons. In addition, the Nets have fared far better against the Hornets at home than they ever have on the road (Brooklyn has won 2 of their last 3 home games against Charlotte). My money’s on the Nets to bag a win tonight.

MIL Bucks v WAS Wizards: Real talk…the Bucks are awful, friends. And with Giannis no longer on their roster, I simply can’t back this squad until they’ve had far more opportunity to put some experience under their rookies. Trae Young and company should cover the spread here at home in their first game of the season.
