Why These Picks?

CAR Panthers v GB Packers: After watching Green Bay hold the Detroit Lions to just 20 points, I can’t justify this matchup going to nearly 50. In fact the Packers have held their last 4 straight opponents to less than 20, and not one of those games came anywhere near 46.5. The Panthers will be eager to makeup for their loss to the Buccaneers last week, but I don’t think they’ll get much past Green Bay’s defense; every single one of Carolina’s road games so far this season has fallen short of 40. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I’m on the Under to hit tonight.

MEM Grizzlies v POR Trail Blazers: With the Trail Blazers offense having put no fewer than 124 points on the board in every game they’ve played so far this season, it’s tough to build a case for a low-scoring affair. In addition, Portland has allowed 120+ in 2 of those 3 games, and Memphis has yet to log a loss (Wtf? Ha ha!) Take the Over to hit this evening.

VAN Canucks v SJ Sharks: I don’t often take picks with a return worse than -120, but the Canucks defense is god-awful and the Over has been paying out handsomely. As for the Sharks, the Over has cashed in 3 of their last 4 games. Toss a sprinkle on this matchup to see at least 7.
