SEA Mariners v TB Rays: Tampa starter Nick Martinez (2.61 ERA) is the far better arm in this matchup; 4 of his last 5 outings have resulted in a win for the Rays, and the man is an impressive 5-1 at home. On the other side, only 1 of Luis Castillo’s (4.79 ERA) last 5 starts has brought about a win for Seattle, and I really didn’t love the way their offense looked against Miami this past few days. Take Tampa Bay to bag the win at home.
PHI Phillies v DET Tigers: I’ve talked some mad sh*t abut Jack Flaherty for the majority of this season (lol), but the man is coming off of back-to-back starts where he hasn’t allowed a single run. On the other side, Phillies starter Aaron Nola has allowed 10 runs across his last two outings, and to be frank, the Philly offense has been struggling. I know Flaherty is 0-3 at home, but I think he picks up a win here. ’ll take the Tigers to bag a victory this evening.
LA Angels v MIN Twins: I’ll die on this hill apparently because it just keeps on paying; it doesn’t matter how good today’s starters are, the Angels bullpen will undoubtedly (and predictably) send this game total into the stratosphere. I’m on the Over to cash, and I’ll toss a sprinkle on the Twins to cover the RL at home.
