Why These Picks?
CIN Reds v CHI Cubs: Reds starter Brady Singer (5.57 ERA) has been rough on the road so far this season, and I really like Colin Rea (4.41 ERA) at home. Both offenses are capable, and to be frank, this game could (should?) be a total shoot out. I’m on the Over to cash but I’ll take Chicago to pull off the victory by at least 2.
BAL Orioles v MIA Marlins: I like the Over to hit here. Orioles starter Brandon Young’s last two starts have seen at least 13 runs (wild…) and he’s allowed 16 hits over just his last 2 games. Miami starter Eury Perez (4.46 ERA) has been decent at home, but also very “hittable”. I think this game makes its way to at least 9. My money’s on a high-scoring affair today.
PHI 76ers v NY Knicks: I’m on the Knicks again, friends. The reality is I just don’t think that the 76ers are any match for NY at MSG. The Knicks are far too capable at home, and I think it’d be tough for even the top Championship contender to take them out on their own court. NY beat Philly by 39 points just two days ago…this is way too much of an imbalance for me to consider that the Sixers might keep it close. Knicks or nothing – take the home squad to cover.
