CHI White Sox v HOU Astros: White Sox starter Davis Martin (4.32 ERA) has had a rough go, friends – the man has allowed a ridiculous 21 runs over his last 5 starts, and today he’s returning after a few weeks on the IL. I can’t imagine that he’s not at least a bit rustier than he was when he left (and as I mentioned, he wasn’t great before…) I think Houston is going to run up an early score here, so I’ll take the Astros to put at least 5 runs in the bag today.
DET Tigers v MIN Twins: With Twins starter Dean Kremer (5.60 ERA) having given up 11 runs over his last 3 starts and the Tigers defense seemingly giving up for the remainder of the season, I’ve gotta bet on a high-scoring affair here. Detroit should be able to put enough runs in the bag to push this total to 9, and Minnesota shouldn’t have an issue scoring on the Tigers’ bullpen. Take the Over to hit.
MIA Marlins v KC Royals: Royals starter Noah Cameron (3.98 ERA) has been solid lately, and Kansas City has been on fire having won 12 of their last 15 games. With 4 of Cameron’s last 5 outings resulting in a Kansas City victory, I like their odds against the Marlins this evening. Cameron is a respectable 6-3 at home, while Miami’s Eury Perez is just 2-6 on the road. I’ve got a sprinkle on the home squad to get it done, friends.
