NY Mets v MIA Marlins: Damn – former starter Sean Manaea (4.70 ERA) is now apart of the Mets bullpen, friends. Manaea has allowed a staggering 15 runs over his last 3 outings, and I think the Marlins offense gets to him early here. On the other side, as capable as I think Sandy Alcantara (3.54 ERA) is, the man’s last 5 straight outings have resulted in a Marlins loss and he’s allowed 8 runs over his last 2 starts. I’m on the Over to cash.
CHI Cubs v MIL Brewers: The Brew Crew just keeps paying, friends. And with Jacob Misiorowski (1.97 ERA) on the mound at home today, I imagine the gravy train will continue. Cubs starter David Peterson’s (5.39 ERA) last 3 outings have resulted in a loss for Chicago by at least 2 runs. In fact, Peterson’s last start was against Milwaukee and he allowed 6 to get by him. I’m not in the business of betting against the Brewers offense with their resident Ace on the mound, so I’ll take the home squad to cover the RL today.
PIT Pirates v CHI White Sox: Bold, I know – but Sean Burke is at his best at home, and his last 4 straight outings have resulted in a White Sox victory by at least 2 runs. Pittsburgh starter Bubba Chandler is also a sad 2-6 on the road, I think Chicago bags a healthy win here. I’m on the home squad to cover the RL.
