Why These Picks?
DET Tigers v LA Angels: The Tigers offense has put a ridiculous 44 runs in the bag over just their last 4 games (wtf?). And, while Gage Jump (4.00 ERA) had a solid outing against Boston recently, I think Detroit is going to run all over him and the Athletics bullpen this afternoon. I know the As will be trying to avoid getting swept (and they may succeed…) but the Tigers fire power has been the definition of elite over the last week. My money’s on the visitors to put at least 6 in the bag here.
MIL Brewers v LA Angels: A bold play, I know – but Jacob Misiorowski (1.57 ERA) has no issue keeping even the best offenses off the board. Comically, the Angels haven’t put more than 2 runs on the board in 3 of their last 4 games anyway against far lesser starters. My money’s on them to put fewer than 3 in the bag today.
