Why These Picks?
MIA Marlins v COL Rockies: Max Meyer (2.60 ERA) vs the Rockies? On paper, it doesn’t get much better than this. Meyer is practically perfect at a ridiculous 9-0 (4-0 on the road…), and the man hasn’t allowed more than 2 runs in any of his last 5 starts. To boot, every one of his last 5 outings has resulted in a Miami victory by at least 2. Sorry Colorado, but I think the writing is on the wall for you here… I’m on the Marlins to cover the RL.
SF Giants v ARI Diamondbacks: I don’t love how either offense has looked recently; both of today’s starters leave plenty to be desired. Zac Gallen has allowed a staggering 14 runs over his last two outings, and while he hasn't been great...Trevor McDonald is the better arm. My money’s on the Giants to pull off the upset.
