Why These Picks?
TB Rays v TOR Blue Jays: Fading the Blue Jays has only made me money over the last week. I don’t care that they’re dying for a win, or that they’re trying to avoid getting swept – their offense and their defense looks atrocious these days. As a Jays fan, I’m crushed; but as a betting degenerate, few things have made me more money than the Tampa Bay Rays this week (lol). Starter Ian Seymour (4.79 ERA) is a solid 3-0 on the road despite is high “away” ERA, and Tampa’s offense is firing on all cylinders. I’m on the Rays to lock down the 4-game sweep.
P.S. - Since the time of initial writing, the Rays have decided to play their bullpen instead…I’m still rolling with Tampa to win.
KC Royals v DET Tigers: Troy Melton has been wildly efficient, friends. Not one of Melton’s last 5 trips to the mound has seen more than 8 runs, and 4 of those 5 have resulted in a Tigers victory. On the other side, while Rob Dobnak is part of the KC bullpen, he’s always pitched at least 4 innings and hasn’t allowed more than 2 runs in any of his last 3 starts. I’m tossing a sprinkle on the Under to hit.
