Why These Picks?
MIL Brewers v NY Mets: The Brewers offense paired with starter Jacob Misiorowski (1.68 ERA) is a tough bet to beat, friends. And with Mets starter Sean Manaea (4.31 ERA) having allowed 8 runs on 11 hits in his last 2 games, I’d be shocked if Milwaukee couldn’t pull off the victory. Now to be fair, 4 of Manaea’s last 5 starts have equated to a NY win, but a majority of those successes were against far lesser offenses. My money’s on the Brew Crew to cover the RL this evening.
HOU Astros v NY Yankees: The Yankees have really turned up over the last couple of weeks, and Gerrit Cole hasn’t allowed more than 2 runs in any of his last 5 games. On the other side, while Hayden Wesneski is far from terrible, I just think he’s allowing too many runs more than Cole, and I don’t think he’ll get the run support he needs from the Houston offense. I’ll take the Under to cash, and New York to win by 2.
