Today's Picks
-WAS Nationals v SF Giants Over 8.0 (-115) | 0.25 Units
-HOU Astros -1.5 (+125) | 0.25 Units
-MIL Brewers -1.5 (+100) | 0.5 Units
Why These Picks?
WAS Nationals v SF Giants: Assuming Miles Mikolas (6.39 ERA) stays on the mound, this game should see at least 9 runs. The Nationals have loved to pull the bait and switch on us when Mikolas is listed as the starting pitcher, but his most recent outing last week saw him stay in the game for a full 6 innings. On the other side, Giants starter Logan Webb has actually been worse at one than he has been on the road. I’m on the Over to cash here.
HOU Astros v LA Angels: Spencer Arrighetti (1.94 ERA) has been elite on the mound; I’m not in a rush to bet against him. To boot, 4 of his last 5 starts have resulted in a victory for Houston by at least 2 runs. I’ll happily bet on the Astros to cover the RL in this spot.
MIL Brewers v Athletics: The Brewers have been paying, friends – and starter Kyle Harrison (1.57 ERA) has been a beacon of consistency for Milwaukee. I’m surprised the book is offering plus money for the visitors to cover the RL, but I’ll bite. Jeffrey Springs (4.37 ERA) has allowed 10 ERs over his last 3 starts, the Over cashing with ease in his last 5 straight. My first thought? The projected total for this game isn’t set at O/U 11.0 because a man with a 1.57 ERA is on the mound (lol). Take Milwaukee to win by at least 2 this evening.
