Why These Picks?

SEA Kraken v CAL Flames: I’ve gotta take the visitors here, friends. Believe it or not, Calgary has won their last 4 straight home games…but the Kraken have won their last 4 meetings with the Flames and each victory was by at least 3 goals. Seattle undoubtedly has the advantage in net tonight (Phillip Grubauer, 5-1-1, 2.93 GAA) over Calgary’s Dustin Wolf (4.81 GAA), and having won 3 of their last 4 outings against some solid opponents, I’m not in any rush to bet against Seattle in this spot. The price is more than reasonable; take the Kraken to bag a win on the road.

NY Knicks v PHI 76ers: I’m on a low-scoring affair here; the defense on both sides of the ball in this matchup is formidable. These two squads played each other back on the 20th, and the game stopped at 206. I imagine tonight’s encounter will be very similar. And, as much as I love the Knicks at home, I think the 76ers will keep this game incredibly close. I’ll take the Under to hit, and Philly to cover.
