I'll be frank – it's not difficult to imagine a universe where Tampa Bay runs up a fast score here. And while starter Ryan Pepiot (3.20 ERA) isn’t necessarily my favourite Rays starter, he hasn’t allowed more than 2 ERs across his last 3 outings. I’m on the visitors to lock down a win again here.

MIA Marlins v PIT Pirates: I don’t trust either of today’s pitchers to keep their opponent in check here, and to be frank, I won’t be surprised if this ends up being one of the evening’s highest scoring affairs. Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara has allowed 21 ERs over his last 5 outings, while Pittsburgh’s Mitch Keller has allowed 9 runs in his last 2 starts. This game should see runs for days – I’m on the Over to hit.

SEA Mariners v ARI Diamondbacks: Diamondbacks starter Brandon Pfaadt (5.51 ERA) has had a rough week; this should be a high-scoring affair simply because he’s on the mound, friends. Pfaadt has allowed a staggering 16 runs over his last 3 outings. On the other side, with Bryce Miller on the injury list, pitcher Logan Evans will step up from Triple-A for Seattle this evening. Of course, this could prove to be a set of trials and tribulations all on its own that could generously add to tonight’s final score. My money’s on the Over to cash.

Burrows is currently sitting at 1-1 (1 logged win, 1 loss…), and while 0 earned runs might not be the norm, the Pirates also found success against the Diamondbacks in Burrows’ start prior to their encounter with Houston in which he allowed 4 to cross home plate. I've had my doubts about the Pirates, but let’s be honest –  the Marlins aren’t blowing anybody’s hair back these days having lost 6 of their last 7 games. My money’s on Pittsburgh to bag a win at home.

CHI Cubs v PHI Phillies: Plus money on a Cubs win seems a little generous given how tough a time Philadelphia has had over the last few weeks – but hey, I’ll bite. Without Bryce Harper in the lineup and the Phillies bullpen obviously struggling, I simply can’t back a team that’s lost 9 of their last 10 games. Comical stat: The Phillies have been favoured in 7 of their last 10 games – they’ve won 1/6 of those. I know the home squad is going to be hungry for a win, but I don’t think they’re going to find it against an offense that has the potential to heat up the way Chicago’s does. And while Zack Wheeler is typically impressive on the mound, his last outing against the Braves saw him allow a whopping 6 runs. I can’t resist a potentially nice payout here, friends – and the Phillies have lost to far lesser teams than the Cubs over the last 2 weeks. Give me the visitors to pull off a victory.

As for today's parlay… we missed by a single leg. And this one killed me. Why? Because it just required the Angels to bag 4 runs against the abysmal George Kirby. The guy’s been giving runs away for weeks — and tonight, the Angels made him look like a Cy Young winner with 14 strikeouts! WTF? 😂

On the props front, my god — we were SO CLOSE to the sweep. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander landed at 47 PRA — missed it by half a point. That said, I hear a few of you locked it in at 46.5 — if that’s you, massive congrats on your 4/4 💸

Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw (5.17 ERA) hasn’t pitched more than 5 innings in any of his outings so far this season, which means the LA bullpen will likely make an early entrance. On the other side, St. Louis will start rookie Michael McGreevy – while his season debut was a good one, the Dodgers offense is bound to give him a run for his money in an effort not to get swept (for what would be just the second time this season). Despite the Under cashing for the first two games in this series, I’m on a high-scoring affair this afternoon.

ARI Diamondbacks v CIN Reds: Zac Gallen is a little sharper on the road than his overall ERA would lead you to believe, but his last 2 outings saw final totals of 11. E.g. Gallen’s last outing saw the Atlanta Braves get a mere 1 run past him, but the final score still ended up in the double digits. On the other side, starter Brady Singer has allowed 17 earned runs over his last 5 games. I think the Over will cash here friends, and as long as the Arizona bullpen doesn't completely melt, the Diamondbacks should be able to avoid getting swept.

SEA Mariners v LA Angels: I know the Mariners will be trying like hell to avoid the sweep, so they might make some wild moves once the LA bullpen comes in. But with George Kirby (8.56 ERA) on the mound, I have to wager that the Angels will run up a decent total in the first 5 innings. I say they hold the lead by at least 1 run for the first half of the game.
