LA Dodgers v PHI Phillies: On paper, Cristopher Sanchez (2.62 ERA) is undoubtedly the better arm – but the man has been allowing runs left, right and centre lately. Sanchez has allowed 14 runs over his last 3 outings, and despite being a formidable 7-1 at home, I hesitate to back him in his current form. On the other side, 4 of Emmet Sheehan’s last 5 starts have resulted in a loss for the Dodgers…but his last few outings have been solid. To be frank, I think those aforementioned losses say more about the bullpen than they do about Sheehan. It’s bold, for sure – but I can see both of today’s pitchers having a tough time with today’s batting lineups. I’m rolling with the Over to hit on this game.

Athletics v ARI Diamondbacks: This game easily has the potential to be the highest scoring matchup of the day. The city feels extra quiet this morning (for those of you that don't know, I'm in Vancouver...), and all of the FIFA signage is already coming down. I mentioned yesterday that this is probably for the best (my liver can't take any more 12PM patio beers...), but damn – the soccer energy put everyone in such a good mood.  On a positive note, the MLB schedule is massive today – and it looks like there's plenty of money to be made. Happy Sunday, friends! I'm just going to come right out and say it: I can't believe yesterday's White Sox/Blue Jays game only saw ONE RUN? Both of what have been not-so-great pitchers decided to pitch like their lives depended on it. Brutal game (and an absolute snooze fest...) but it happens – on to the next. I'm glad I only sent out the one play yesterday because a number of the games on the schedule yielded some wild results 😅 On a more exciting note: The World Cup Final is today!
