Friends — thank goodness for the NHL tonight, because Player Props single-handedly saved us from a full-blown disaster 😅. Props went a strong 3/4, while Picks had a dreaded 0/3 night. The Charlotte Hornets beat the OKC Thunder by nearly 30 points — in Oklahoma City?! I’ll be real with you: nights like this make it easier to stomach a rough slate, because there is no universe where I would’ve backed the Hornets to beat anyone by 27 points — let alone the best team in the league.

On a much brighter note, shout out to Alexander Ovechkin for cashing 4 shots on goal — that +130 prop kicked back a beautiful return 😉

And yes, I know Phoenix just pulled off a nice win over the OKC Thunder, but the Suns also had the benefit of playing this encounter on their own court. To boot, Phoenix’s last trip to Houston saw them lose by 19 points. My money’s on the Rockets to win and cover here, friends.

CHA Hornets v OKC Thunder: The Thunder at home are tough to contend with for even the best teams in the league – and while Charlotte has been putting solid points on the board over their last 4 games, I think OKC’s defense will leave them in the dust fairly early on. I don’t love double-digit spreads, but the Thunder should cover here. I’ll also toss a sprinkle on the home squad to bag at least 125 points.
